Life Benefit Program
Drexel Technical's Life Benefit Program
encompasses a number of tangible and intangible
services with the ultimate goal adding
convenience to an employee's work experience
with Drexel. For example, our "Concierge
Service" can assist our IT personnel or those
seeking employment by making any necessary
travel or lodging arrangements. This service has
been especially helpful to those employees
working away from home. For further details

Comprehensive Health and Dental Insurance
Drexel Technical is committed to offering its
employees quality comprehensive health and
dental benefits that are affordable. The company
currently maintains its health plan with
Aetna,
a well known and respected national health
provider. To provide the greatest flexibility
for its employees, two health programs are
offered. These are
the Aetna Choice POS
Plan and the Aetna QPOS Plan. Each
plan includes quality coverage for preventive
care, hospitalization, specialist care,
emergency room care, and mental health as well
as many other components. Additionally, each
plan comes with a prescription drug benefit.
Drexel Technical offers a national dental plan
as well, managed by Metlife.
All health and dental plans fall under the
umbrella of Drexel’s Section 125 Plan. As such,
any contributions made by the employee towards
these plans would be done on a pretax basis.
Drexel
Technical 401(k) Retirement Plan
Drexel Technical understands the importance of
saving for retirement while minimizing one’s
current year tax burden. The company currently
maintains a 401(k) plan administered through
John Hancock Life Insurance Company.
The plan is a valuable benefit to help employees
save for the future. Saving now can help you
have income you will need at retirement.
Participation in the plan is easy and
convenient. Employees contribute a portion of
their pay to their plan account through payroll
deduction. There are significant tax advantages,
also. Qualifying contributions and all earnings
in the employee’s account are not subject to
current federal income tax until funds are
withdrawn from the plan. This tax deferral gives
retirement savings the ability to grow under the
most favorable terms possible. What’s more,
after a year of service, Drexel Technical will
match up to twenty five percent of an employee’s
elective deferral up to five percent of salary.
By combining convenience with these special tax
benefits, a 401(k) plan offers one of the best
ways to fund your future. Eligibility to
participate in the plan begins after one year of service.
Life and
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
Insurance
Drexel Technical, through its benefit resources,
gives
those
employees
who are participating in the company’s health
plans
automatic access to
Life and AD&D insurance.
The life benefit is $10,000.00 and the AD&D
benefit can pay up to $10,000.00 depending on
the injury claim. The most exciting aspect of
this coverage is that the related premium is
fully paid by Drexel. There is no additional
cost to the employee. Drexel has selected Aetna
Life Insurance Company to underwrite these
benefits.

Drexel Technical’s Benefits Department is there
to help.
Weekly
Payroll
Drexel Technical is unique in the IT staffing
industry in that it pays its employees on a
weekly basis. There is no need to wait two weeks
or even a month to receive earned pay. Even
initially, when an employee begins work for
Drexel, there is no processing delay in
receiving a pay check. Any work performed within
a given week will be paid the following
Friday.
Direct Deposit
Drexel Technical understands the busy
home and work schedules that exist in today’s
environment. To save an inconvenient trip to
your local bank, we offer the convenience of
direct depositing your paychecks into your bank
account. Would you like your funds
deposited into your savings as well as your
checking account? No problem. This option is
also available.
Online Wage
Statements
Through our payroll provider, ADP, Drexel
employees are able to view their wage statements
online at anytime through the “ipaystatements”
benefit. Additionally, Form W-2 may be viewed
this way as well. Employees no longer have to
wait for their wage statements to arrive in the
mail. Simply
log into your secure account and view the
statement from whichever week you desire.
Travel and Housing Assistance
For consultants traveling into the area for a
job assignment, Drexel Technical’s Travel
Department can assist with all travel plans
including transportation and quality affordable
lodging.
